Welcome to Trengothal Barn!
Trengothal Barn is a Grade II Listed granite barn which started life in the 18th Century as a tractor shed and animal barn.
It has been sympathetically renovated using traditional lime pointing and reclaimed delabole slate tiles and transformed into a simple, elegant and well-appointed, self-catering holiday cottage.
Location
Trengothal Barn nestles in the most tranquil of settings, at the head of the Penberth valley, west of Penzance near Land’s End, Cornwall. It forms part of a tiny, ancient, granite hamlet which has a rich history tied to its agricultural heritage. The farm has been in operation for centuries, with records dating back to the 16th century. Nowadays Trengothal Farm is a privately owned dairy farm.
Trengothal is equidistant from, and has lovely walks to, the most stunning coastal beaches of Pedn Vounder, Porthcurno, Nanjizal, Sennen and Gwynver. It is only a 5 minute drive from the famous Minack Theatre and PK Porthcurno Museum of Global Communications and is the ideally located for a holiday exploring all that the far west of Cornwall has to offer!
Accommodation
The barn comprises two bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of 4 guests. For your Cornish holiday, you can have your choice of bedrooms with two single divan beds, shown in the twin room. Alternatively, you can have the divan beds combined to form a superking double bed, shown in the Master bedroom above.
The bathroom has a large, walk-in, mains pressure shower, a Cornish holiday must for washing off the salt and sand!
The open plan living area is light and airy. It has a vaulted ceiling and comprises a modern, well-equiped kitchen, dining area and a generous sitting area with a modern wood burning stove.

Views
The large end window provides stunning views over farmland and down the Penberth valley.
The window is much beloved by the delightfully nosey Jersey cows! They enjoy a quick peer in to check you out as they saunter past for milking!
Moreover, the cheeky things like to give the window a quick lick, especially after I’ve been cleaning!
